| This is a neat little play agility tunnel. It is curved around with both mouths facing you. It also "crackles", so the pups get used to different sounds. They all are interested and want to explore it. That is what you want to see in a pup, even at this age--little fear, just curiosity.
Look carefully--there are 2 pups inside..the light red ones.

| And here is feeding time. They lick this puppy bowl clean each time. Kayta eats outside of the box now and is outside when feeding the pups, as she would scarf it up in a heartbeat! She does come in right after and clean up their feet, faces and whatever needs it.

This is the behavior you should be interested in seeing...curiosity, leaning forward, smelling to get scent, tail up, ears in a neutral (non~confrontational) position.

| Now, I realize it is SO easy to pay all the attention to those cute little pups. But, you need to remember the needs of all your Siberians, esp. Kayta, the mom. So, at 4 weeks, she has spa day. Bath, blow dry, brush out, nails clipped and pad hair trimmed. She is a brand new woman-ready for whatever comes her way.

| Everyone is able to get out of the whelping box at this point, so the gate is a good thing. They all run around the top ledge and are loving this new place to be. This weekend they move into their new home---a bigger run in the back room. I give them additional space a little at a time.

Here is the gang just after dinner-note the dirty noses, and contented looks. They eat puppy gruel twice a day now, but still nurse.

| ...and speaking of nursing, Kayta can run, but she can not hide-smile. Seriously, she spends about 50% of her day with the pups at this juncture. That will continue to diminish as the pups age and eat more and more puppy food.

| The pups sleep about 50% of the time. The little red boy catches a nap after an hour or so of playtime. He is sleeping on his bear rug.
