There has been lots happening here. Siqu has gone to his new home. The 3 pups still here are in major training. All still get groomed many times weekly. Here Tumai, who is available, along with Miya, is getting used to having his head groomed. He is relaxed, comfortable and accepting. Tumai is an extremely fast and willing learner-only showing him things 1-2 times and he gets it!

| Everyone had a first new experience today-the toothbrush! It was a hit! Use dog toothpaste, as dogs can't spit and therefore must swallow the paste. Do not use human toothpaste. Dog toothpaste comes in several appealing flavors-beef, chicken and vanilla mint. If you start early, keep sessions short and positive, toothbrushing can be accomplished as part of a grooming routine.

| All started structured puppy classes this week, learning "sit", "lay down" and "stand" using hand commands with the clicker. Tumai is looking at the hand signal for "sit"-a palm up hand-. There is no voice at this point. In my hand, I have a small treat and the clicker. The second his buns hit the table/ground, click and treat.

A second pic of Tumai:focused-not distracted ~ working. Sometimes work sessions are on the grooming table, or on the roadside or on the lawn-all over the place. Pups need to generalize that ~sit, ~stay, etc. means to do just that wherever it happens.

| T'Kaya is being groomed on her chest and giving me a smooch on the nose. As you can see, she is also comfortable and confidant on the table. The pups have only had 1 short bath so far. They have had clean ups with wet washcloths to take off some dust right before grooming. Regular bathing will dry out Siberian coats.

| And here is T'Kaya getting her teeth cleaned. She also did very well. This activity is good for getting Sibes to get used to having their muzzles touched and held gently. Use a very soft toothbrush. The gang still have their puppy teeth at this age and are still on puppy food, dry, but puppy food is coming to an end soon.

This is T'Kaya's last pic in this group and shows her in process of a training session for sitting. As you can see, she is not sitting at this point, but I have given her the hand signal (no voice) for sit. She is attending (the first step) and seconds after this was shot, she sat- was clicked and given a small treat. Sometimes, the behavior (sit, in this instance) happens very fast. Sometimes, it doesn't. Patience and consistency are the keywords.

| This is Miya getting her upper rear thighs groomed. Sibes need to know they can and will be touched and groomed everywhere. She is also comfortable, confidant and relaxed. Sibes learn their attitude from you. If you are uptight and upset, expect your Sibe to be the same. Therefore, take a deep breath, relax and enjoy the moment-do not expect problems. Handle them, if they happen.

| Miya is comfy with her teeth and mouth being handled, as well. Note her tail and ears-no problem here! These 3 pups will be microchipped tomorrow- another big day! She remains on the hunt for her forever home, as does Tumail
